In November 2021, we commemorated the 450th anniversary of Cellini's death by unveiling his self-portrait on Italian soil for the first time since its discovery. This highly anticipated event was broadcast live, featuring presentations by esteemed experts. It provided a platform for academic discussions and the opportunity to share art with the public, attracting significant media attention. During this event, academics discussed decades worth of research that was carried out on this exceptional portrait.
Building upon the success of this event, the Cellini Art Fund continues to support academic dialogue and public engagement around art history and attribution research.
